I was meant to write this update even earlier but it didn´t come public until now. Red Bull contacted me in june if I would be interested to shoot finnish top chef Hans Välimäki for them - I was pretty amazed again, how an earth Red Bull could be interested about food and Hans Välimäki?
Red Bull Hangar-7 is a hefty "home" of Red Bull in Salzburg airport in Austria. A huge contemporary glass dome where you can find a private airplane collection as well as Red Bull racing cars.
After a tour you can have a snack and drinks at a bar or if you are into some real deal culinary trip you can book a table from restaurant Ikarus.
Ikarus is run by celebrity chef Eckhart Witzigmann who´s right hand is chef Roland Tretti. They change their menu every month and the main focus is to try out some new tastes from all over the world - like now some finnish tastes created by chef Hans Välimäki.
Roland Tretti visits every Ikarus quest chef beforehand to get an idea about the menu. Likewise they shoot all the dishes and make a documentary about the visit. You can see some of the images here.
You should be hungry, at least I am!
